Spaghetti Aglio e Olio with Chili Flakes

Instructions
1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-low heat. Add sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook gently until garlic is fragrant and lightly golden, about 3-5 minutes. Do not burn the garlic.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic and oil.
4. Toss well, adding a few tablespoons of reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce that coats the pasta.
5. Season with salt to taste. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
