
Creamy Tomato Pasta

Instructions
1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Pour in crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
4. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until well combined. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. Stir in fresh basil. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan.
