Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pound chicken breasts to 1/2-inch thickness. Season with salt and pepper. 2. Set up a dredging station: one shallow dish with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with 1/4 cup grated Parmesan. 3. Dredge each chicken breast first in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture, ensuring even coating. 4. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Pan-fry chicken for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Do not cook through. 5. Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan cheese. Transfer skillet to the preheated oven. 6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
