Instructions

1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. 2. Add finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown. 3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. 4. Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the mixture. 5. Stir in coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly. 6. Add the drained chickpeas and chana masala powder. Mix well. 7. Pour in water, add salt, and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes, allowing flavors to meld. 8. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
