Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine grated pear/apple, grated onion, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, mirin, grated ginger, and black pepper to create the marinade. 2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Mix thoroughly and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably 4 hours. 3. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over high heat. Add a small amount of vegetable oil. Once very hot, add a single layer of marinated beef. Do not overcrowd the pan. 4. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until beautifully browned and cooked through. Remove cooked beef and repeat with remaining beef. 5. Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately with rice and banchan (side dishes).
