Instructions

1. In a bowl, marinate thinly sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp cornstarch for 10 minutes. 2. Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef and stir-fry until just browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef and set aside. 3. Add sliced bell peppers and onion to the pan. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender. 4. Add minced garlic and cracked black pepper to the pan. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant. 5. In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, oyster sauce, and sugar to make the sauce. Pour into the pan and bring to a simmer. 6. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring, until the sauce thickens. 7. Return the cooked beef to the pan and toss everything together until well coated with the sauce. 8. Serve hot with steamed rice.
