Instructions
1. For the patties: In a large bowl, mash black beans with a fork until mostly crushed but still some whole beans remain.
2. Stir in bread crumbs, red onion, garlic, egg, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
4. For the avocado crema: In a small bowl, mash the avocado. Stir in sour cream (or Greek yogurt) and lime juice. Season with salt to taste.
5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 5-7 minutes per side, until browned and heated through.
6. Serve patties on burger buns with avocado crema and your favorite toppings.
