Instructions
1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.
2. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until most of the water has evaporated and the meat is well coated with seasoning.
3. While the meat is simmering, warm the taco shells according to package directions. This usually involves baking them in the oven for a few minutes or microwaving briefly.
4. Assemble tacos: Spoon the seasoned ground beef into each warm taco shell. Top with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, salsa, and a dollop of sour cream.
5. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. Serve immediately with any desired additional toppings.
