Beef with Broccoli

Instructions

1. In a bowl, toss beef slices with 1 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp soy sauce, and rice wine or sherry. Marinate for at least 15 minutes. 2. Steam or blanch broccoli florets for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside. 3. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef in batches and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove beef and set aside. 4. Add the remaining 1 tbsp vegetable oil to the pan. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant. 5. Pour in beef broth, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Bring to a simmer. 6. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring, until the sauce thickens. 7. Return cooked beef and broccoli to the pan. Toss everything until well coated with the sauce. 8. Serve hot with steamed white rice.
